Brett didn’t go to University. He originally trained full-time as an actor, working for over five years in professional theatre. From here, he began working as a lighting designer, audio visual technician, prop and art designer, set design and construction manager, advertising and promotion, writing for film and television, he then picked up a camera and began working in Japan for three years as a director of photography, photojournalist, sound recordist, documentary filmmaker, he also did a stint behind the scenes as an editor for two years, a colourist, stop frame animator, he has worked on numerous productions as an acting coach, a casting agent, a directors assistant and a data wrangler/2nd assistant camera.
Brett finally earned enough to invest in his own camera equipment and so he used everything he had learned to become a director. He’s now a commercial, documentary and film director.
